The He Art Museum may have only opened in 2020, but it continues to increase its already burgeoning reputation as a center of art and culture in Asia with the announcement of its latest art exhibition. From the 7th June to 19th November, the Tadao Ando-designed museum will host the largest-ever Roni Horn exhibition in Asia. The exhibition promises to cover a wide range of the Joan Miro Award-winning artist’s career.
Roni Horn is one of the most influential visual artists in modern times and her first major solo exhibition in China, as well as her largest ever in Asia, has been attracting art lovers from all the country to take the unique opportunity to see her career laid out across three levels of the He Art Museum.
Co-curated by the artist and the museum, the exhibition revolves around her long-standing creative philosophy of creating uncertain encounters in de-centered and de-linearized spaces and features 50 works from her career including paintings, sculptures, and videos.
Roni Horn is just the latest in a line of renowned artists to be exhibited at the He Art Museum. Past exhibitions include the American pop art pioneer Roy Lichtenstein, the influential French conceptual artist Bernar Venet, and the Minimalist trailblazer Channa Horwitz.
